LS Central supports EBT transactions, allowing retailers to process both SNAP EBT and EBT Cash payments at the POS. The system ensures compliance with government regulations while offering flexibility in payment processing.
- SNAP EBT (EBT Card): Restricted to eligible food items. It cannot be used for non-food purchases, alcohol, tobacco, hot food, vitamins, or household goods.
- EBT Cash: Can be used for any purchase, similar to regular cash. It also supports cash withdrawals at authorized ATM locations.
LS Central uses the LS Pay integration and the Verifone Point PSP to support EBT card payments.
