LS Central supports EBT transactions, allowing retailers to accept SNAP EBT and EBT Cash payments at the POS. Which items each tender can pay for is controlled by limitations.
- SNAP EBT (EBT card): Restricted to eligible food items. It cannot be used for non-food purchases, alcohol, tobacco, hot food, vitamins, or household goods. Items paid by this tender are tax exempted.

LS Central uses the LS Pay integration and the Verifone Point PSP to support EBT card payments.
Note: The EBT balance inquiry is always sent to the PSP in USD.
