To show EBT amounts to the cashier, add the EBT tags to a menu line in the POS menu profile and place that menu on a POS panel. There are separate tags for EBT card and EBT Cash amounts.
Step 1: Set up the EBT menu in the POS menu profile
Create a menu that displays the EBT amounts. Each amount uses two menu lines: one line with a text label and one line with the tag that shows the value.
- Click the
icon, enter POS Menu Profiles, and select the relevant link. - Select the menu profile that is used by the POS, and choose Lists, Menu List. For more information, see POS Menus.
- Create a new menu with the ID EBT. If a similar menu already exists, use Create New From to copy it.
- On the menu, set Columns to 2 and Rows to the number of lines that you need. In the example, there are six rows: one for each of the three EBT card amounts and three EBT Cash amounts.
- On the Lines FastTab, add the menu lines. In the Column/Row field, put the label in column 1 and the tag in column 2 of the same row, for example 1,1 and 2,1:
- In the Description field of the label line, enter the text to display, for example EBT Total Amount.
- In the Description field of the tag line, enter the tag, for example <#LimitationAmount>. Leave Command and Parameter empty, as the lines only display information.
- Repeat the previous step for each amount that you want to display. Use the tags in the following table.

Step 2: Place the EBT menu on a POS panel
Menus are not placed directly on panels. A panel contains a button pad control, and the control is linked to the menu. For more information, see Panels.
- Click the icon, enter POS Panel List, and select the relevant link.
- Open the panel that you want to add the EBT amounts to, for example the main POS panel #POS, to open the POS Panel Card. Make sure that Interface Profile ID is the profile that the POS uses.
- Check that the panel has enough free columns and rows for the EBT menu without overlapping other controls. If not, change the Columns and Rows fields, and set up the new columns and rows on the POS Panel Row/Column List FastTab.
- On the POS Panel Control Lines FastTab, choose New Line and fill in the fields:
- Line No.: a unique number.
- Column and Row: the column and row where the EBT amounts start.
- Column Span and Row Span: how many extra columns and rows the control covers. 0 means one column or row. Use the span to make room for all the menu lines.
- Control Type: Button Pad.
- Control ID: the ID of a button pad control in the interface profile, for example LIMITATION.
- Control Assignment: the ID of the menu from step 1, EBT.
In the example, the LIMITATION control is placed in column 8, row 2, with a row span of 4 on the #POS panel.
