Document Handling

After activating Aggregated Inventory for LS Central, you continue to use sales, purchase, and transfer documents to record inventory movements at the store locations as before. However, the system handles relevant flows and processes using a different approach to ensure that inbound and outbound inventory movements are posted to the aggregated location.

On document pages, both the store location and the aggregated location are displayed. After you have posted a receipt or shipment, the Item Ledger Entries shows the inventory at the aggregated location while the Aggregated Inventory Entries keeps track of the inventory at the individual store locations.

For a detailed description of the changes made to the core flows and processes, refer to the Concept Description page. There you learn about what has changed for releasing and reopening documents, item availability checks, preview posting, and posting.

Furthermore, updates have been made to additional functions like copying and correcting documents. For more information about these updates, see the Additional Functions page.

To see which documents have been adapted to work with Aggregated Inventory, refer to the Supported Documents page for a comprehensive list.

The following table lists up Document Handling related topics, to help you understand the concepts and supported functionality.
