The selection phase is the first step of the Assortment Suggestion functionality. The selection phase is essential to identify the items you want to analyze, based on the predefined filters and thresholds. You might want to apply different filters and thresholds to different groups of items. The Replen. Assortment Templates hold these parameters and allow you to create and maintain multiple templates.

The Replen. Assortment Suggestion Worksheet is the main working page, where you can run the Item Selection report using the Suggest Items action. By default, the filters and thresholds are prepopulated, based on the selected Replen. Assortment Template, and it is possible to change the parameters before the execution. This report first clears the worksheet and then adds items that fulfill all criteria to the worksheet. Following the selection process, the report calculates metrics and ratings for all items which is part of the Rating Phase.
You can execute the Item Selection report manually or via Scheduler Job, using the job LSFC-ITEMSUGGESTION, created by default. This job can be run in parallel processing mode. When you set the Boolean field as True, the execution is split between two parallel jobs.
