Role Centers in LS Central for hotels create an easy-to-use environment for hotel managers and employees that provides them with a central view of all the most commonly used functions and basic statistics.

There are four role centers in Hotels:

Hotel Back Office

In the Hotel Back Office role center's Navigation menu, you can navigate quickly and easily to set up related pages such as Hotel Setup, Rate Management, Housekeeping Setup, and Staff.

In the Navigation bar, you have quick access to all Reservations, Overdue Reservations (reservations that should already have checked out), and Group Reservations. Scheduled Jobs and Payments are also accessible here.

The Action bar lets you easily open the Point of Sale (POS) or create a New Reservation, open the Tape Chart, Change Property (changes Retail User POS, if the Backoffice User POS No. field in Hotel Setup is set), see the Occupancy Report, access and edit Housekeeping Statuses, view the Hotel Summaries, and open various reports.

In the Hotel Back Office role center, you can access the most frequently used actions and see beneficial information regarding your reservations and hotel progress.

Section Tile Description
Attention No Show Shows how many reservations have status No Show based on the last three days.
Click this tile to display a list of those reservations.
  Open Balance Shows how many reservations with status Canceled or Checked Out have open balance. This list is filtered to show reservations that have checked out in the last 30 days and are scheduled to check out the next week.

  Deposit Due Shows how many reservations have deposit due based on the Deposit Policy.
Click this tile to display a list of those reservations.
  Reservations Shows how many reservations have the attention slider on. The system automatically sets the slider on, if problems arise when you create activities.

Note: You can also set the slider on or off manually, if any action is required on the reservation.

  Draft Activities Shows how many reservations have activities with status Draft.
Click this tile to display a list of those reservations.
Reservations Draft Shows how many reservations have status Draft.
Click this tile to display a list of those reservations.
  New Shows how many confirm reservations were created in the last day.

Click this tile to display a list of those reservations.

Property Active Rates Shows how many rates are active.

Click this tile to open the Rate Info page. This page allows the user to get more detailed information on a specific rate, such as daily prices and availability by room.

  Tasks Shows how many tasks are due for today.

Click this tile to open a list of those tasks.

Additionally, there are some graphic visualizations that provide information on the Day Plan, Room Availability, Group Day Plan, and Occupancy %.

Hotel Front Desk

The Hotel Front Desk role center is presented like a day plan for the hotel, so you can easily see information relevant for today's work. This includes information on any deviations in check-in or check- out times that might be beneficial to know in organizational aspect.

The Action bar lets you easily open the Point of Sale (POS) or create a New Reservation, open the Tape Chart, Change Property (changes Retail User POS, if the Backoffice User POS No. field in Hotel Setup is set), access, and edit Housekeeping Statuses.

Note: In order for this role center to work properly, you need to have Default Check-in Time and Default Check-out Time set up in the Check-in FastTab in the Hotel Setup page.

Deviations Early Checkin Shows how many reservations have check-in time earlier than the time set as the default checkin time.
Click this tile to display a list of those reservations.
  Late Checkin Shows how many reservations have check-in later than the time set as the default check-in time.
Click this tile to display a list of those reservations.
  Late Checkout Shows how many reservations have check-out later than the time set as the default check-out time.
Click this tile to display a list of those reservations.
  Early Checkout Shows how many reservations have check-out earlier than the time set as the default check-out time.
Click this tile to display a list of those reservations.
  Priority Rooms

Shows how many rooms have check-out and check-in on the same day.

Click this tile to display a list of these rooms.

Host Number of reservations Number of reservations that this host is responsible for.
Reservations Attention Shows how many reservations have the attention slider on. The system automatically sets the slider on, if problems arise when you create activities.

  Draft Shows how many reservations have status Draft.
Click this tile to display a list of those reservations.
  New Reservations

Shows how many new reservations were created since yesterday.

Click this tile to display a list of those reservations.

A more detailed list of arriving, departing, and stay-over reservations is shown in the Insights FastTab.

In the Arriving Reservations list and Departing Reservations list colors are used for more visual impact on things that need special attention. Reservations that are either checked-in or checked-out are marked in green color, and the ones that have any deviations from default check-in or check-out times are shown in red.

Hotel Housekeeping

The Hotel Housekeeping role center functions as a dashboard for all housekeeping management. It includes interactive visualizations and quick access to all housekeeping tools provided by the system.

From here you can quickly learn which rooms are clean, unclean, being cleaned, in a Do not Disturb status, on inspection, out of service, and out of order.

The role center also displays Day Plans with the arrivals, stay-overs, and departures for that day.

Hotel Manager

The Hotel Manager role center provides information on the hotel's reservations and customers.

The role center includes a visualization of the top five customers by sales value as well as an embedded list of hotel reservations.
