Hotel Summaries

The Hotel Summaries are a collection of pages designed to enhance the visualization of data in a way that provides meaningful insights to the hotel management.

You can access these pages in the Actions panel of the Hotel Back Office role center, in the View menu, or you can search for them directly by clicking the icon.

There are two summary pages:

Hotel Item Summary

The Hotel Item Summary provides a useful overview of the item reservations over a specific time frame. The page displays a list of the items that have reservations and their respective total over the specified period.

  • Click the Total field to display a list of the reservations.

The table below lists and describes the fields in the page.

Field Description
Property The store number for the hotel. There can be many properties in the system.

Multiple selection is allowed.
Filter On Determines what page the Filter By filter will open. This is an option field with the following values:
  • Item
  • Special Group
  • Item Category
  • Retail Product Group
Filter By Specifies which items or group of items are analyzed.

Depending on Filter On:

  • Item - Opens a list of all the items.
  • Special Group - Opens a list of the special groups.
  • Item Category - Opens a list of the item categories.
  • Retail Product Group - Opens a list of the retail product groups.

Multiple selection is allowed.
Status  
View By Specifies the time interval that each column represents. This is an option field with the following values:
  • Day
  • Week
  • Month
  • Year
  • Accounting Period
Date Range Specifies the date range the filters are used on.
Starting Date Specifies the first day of the period in analysis. By default, this is the current date.
Summarize on Specifies what the total represents. It is an option field with the following values:
  • Amount
  • Quantity

Hotel Room Summary

The Hotel Room Summary provides an overview of the item reservations for each room on a specific day. The page displays a list of the rooms that have item reservations. For each selected item, a new column is displayed with the total reservations by room. You can select a maximum of 10 items at the same time.

  • Click the total to display a list of revenue entries.

The table below lists and describes the fields in the page.

Field Description
Property The store number for the hotel. There can be many properties in the system.

Multiple selection is allowed.
Date Specifies the day for which the reservations will be filtered.
Filter On

These two filters are used to filter which items are displayed in the Filter By field.
Filter By Specifies which items will be analyzed. For each selected item, a new column is displayed.

Multiple selection is allowed.
Status Filters the Reservation Status.
Wing Filters the rooms by Wing.
Building Filters the rooms by Building.
Floor Filters the rooms by Floor.
Type Filters the rooms by Type.
Rooms Specifies which rooms will be analyzed. Multiple selection is allowed.
Summarize on Specifies what the total represents. This is an option field with the following values:
  • Amount
  • Quantity
