Use this procedure when you know the patient (customer) and need to register someone else to collect prescription goods on their behalf. The system retrieves the list of delegates who hold a Power of Attorney for this patient from both local records and the national EIK Power of Attorney service.
To Register a Power of Attorney by Searching for a Patient
- Open the Customer Identification screen, and identify the customer by entering their NIN (National Identity Number).
- Change the Requested By field to Delegate. The Register Delegate/Official Errand window opens.
- The system displays a list of delegates who hold a Power of Attorney for this customer. The list can contain entries from both local records and the national EIK Power of Attorney service. A column in the list indicates the source of each entry.
- Select the desired non-local delegate from the list, and click OK.
- The system fills the delegate details on the Customer Identification screen.
