Deal Modifiers
In this article
Deal modifiers are a set of items that the customer can select from within the deal.
For a detailed description of how to set up deal modifiers, see Setting up Deal Modifiers.
Templates
You need to select a deal modifier template when you add a deal modifier to a deal:
- The template consists of a set of items, including description, variant and unit of measure information.
- If you have already set up item modifiers, they appear in your deal modifier template list.
- You can change the deal modifier item list, add items to it, or delete items.
- You can always update the deal modifier item list from the template later to make it identical again.
Quantity Handling
Deals have quantity handling settings for their deal modifiers. These settings determine whether modifiers are selected for a single deal or for all deals when ordering a deal with a quantity greater than 1.
Adding amount to the deal
You can let certain items add to the deal base amount. For each deal modifier, the added amount is set either for:
- the deal modifier itself (the amount is added to the deal when one or more of the deal modifier items have been selected).
- for specific deal modifier items.
Deal Receipt printing
You can control how deal modifiers appear on customer receipts and pre-receipts.
Pop-up Settings
-
Deal modifiers use the same pop-up setup as infocodes, cross-selling and item modifiers.
-
Using Pop-up Version Enhanced makes changing deals and deal modifiers much easier. It allows you to change the quantity of a deal and change modifiers even after they have been sent to the kitchen.
