Classes and Courses
To create a course or a class, you must first create a resource which has a defined date/time specific capacity. This resource becomes the basis for the course or class availability (capacity).
Note: On both course and class products, you must set that resource up as s required resource. There must be a unique resource for each class or course being offered.
At that point, the Product Schedule feature on the activity product will be enabled. You may need to refresh the Activity Products page, if the Product Schedule action on the Home menu stays disabled.
This action is only enabled on products that require a single resource, since that resource will be the basis of the capacity and availability of the product. Either the course schedule as the date/time of the course's first session, or for all open classes (date/time of every session).
The main difference between courses and classes is that courses require a reservation to be created upfront and confirmed, which keeps track of all the sessions (schedule) of the course, and then participants are assigned.
Classes, however, do not require a reservation to be created. But when the first participant is sold (assigned), the first-class reservation is created, and any additional participants after that will be automatically added to the same reservation.
