How to: Set Up Customer Facing Display

After Creating the CFD Station
The customer facing display (CFD) is used to notify the customers when an order is ready in the kitchen and can be picked up.
To create a customer facing display:
- Click the
icon, enter Kitchen Station List and select the relevant link.
- Create a new station and enter ID and Description.
- Select Customer Facing Display as Station Role.
- Set Station type: Card.
- Create a Station Group for the CFD and select that as The Station Group ID.
In the Profile Section of the Kitchen Station Card Select profiles:
Functional profile
The functionality profile selected needs to include some settings for the CFD. See: Customer Facing Display (CFD)
Visual profile
The visual profile for the CFD needs to mainly consist of the Content Control Type. You can also add the Information panel to be able to display the title of the station or other information to the customers.
Tips: The average production time can be used as estimated waiting time. There is also a minimum time to be displayed set in the functionality profile.
Operation profile
It is mandatory to select the operation profile but it is not used, since the CFD screen is unattended and the visual profile should not include an operation Control Type
Content profile
In the Kitchen Card Content Profile you configure what information is available on the Card and is displayed for the customer. For an example a name or a queue counter number to identify the order.
Style profile
The Style profile, the default color and font of the card information is configured. The order status style also applies background color, depending on the status of the order.
Note: The Content profile can override the color or style of a specific field.
After Creating the CFD Station
When the CFD station has been created the Expeditor needs to have the CFD's Station Group set as the Next Station Group ID.
