Room Housekeeping Status

The Room Housekeeping Status table contains all housekeeping-related information for every room in the hotel. The housekeeping job keeps this table up-to-date, depending on the housekeeping setup, that is Housekeeping Tasks, Housekeeping Rules, and the Housekeeping FastTab in Hotel Setup.

  • Click the icon, enter Room Housekeeping Status, and select the relevant link to display the table.

The Room Housekeeping Status table has the following fields:

Field Description
Room No. Room number - when you click this field, the table changes to edit mode.
Room Type The room type of this room.
Property The property this room belongs to.
Housekeeping Status The housekeeping status this room has at this moment, this can change depending on either the housekeeping job or when changed manually.
  • Vacant Clean - a room gets this status when no reservation is in house (the Checked in Reservation No. field is empty).
  • Vacant Cleaning Request - a room gets this status when a reservation has checked out and the room has not been cleaned yet.
  • Occupied Clean - a room gets this status, either when a reservation is in house and daily cleaning has been finished.
  • Occupied Cleaning Request - a room gets this status when a reservation is in house and daily cleaning has not been finished.
  • Other available statuses that can be set manually are: 
    • Inspection
    • 2nd Inspection
    • Out of Service
    • Out of Order
    • Being Cleaned
    • Do not Disturb
Housekeeping Rule The housekeeping rule that is being used for this room. The housekeeping job updates this field based on the specifications in the Hotel Setup page, the Housekeeping FastTab.
This rule determines which tasks are put in the Housekeeping Tasks field.
Housekeeping Tasks Shows the number of tasks scheduled for this room today. When you click this field, the Room Housekeeping Tasks page opens showing the total estimated time, in minutes, it will take to finish all tasks. On this page, users can also add manual tasks that will be deleted when the housekeeping job runs again for the next day. The manually added tasks are marked as Manually Added.
Note: These tasks are not removed by room swapping or when assigning a reservation to a room, and so on. The tasks are only deleted by the housekeeping job.
Total Estimated Time (minutes) Shows the total estimated time, in minutes, it will take to finish all tasks specified for the room.
Allocated The room is marked as Allocated when a reservation is allocated to the room. When no reservation is arriving to this room, this field is set to false.
Checked In When a reservation is checked in to the room, this field is set to true. Even if the room is allocated and not checked in yet, this field is set to false.
Checked In Reservation No. Shows the reservation number that is currently checked in to this room.
Arriving Reservation No. Shows the reservation number that is arriving to this room.
Checked Out Reservation Shows the reservation number that last checked out of this room.
Current Guest Name Shows the name of the guest that is currently checked in to the room.
Next Arrival Date Shows when the next arriving reservation will be checking in.
Priority Room When a room has a check-out and check-in on the same day, the room is considered a priority room. When a room is a priority room, the housekeeping tasks list in the Room Housekeeping Tasks page will be a combination of tasks from check-in and check-out rules (depending on the specifications in the Hotel Setup page, the Housekeeping FastTab).
