Guest Types

Guest types are used to categorize guests and can affect rate pricing. In LS Central for hotels, each guest type has a Guest Group Type field that classifies it as Adult, Child, or Infant. This classification determines how the guest is counted on the reservation and how rate pricing is calculated.

Guest types are shared with the LS Central Activity and Bookings module. To open the Guest Types page, Click the icon, enter Guest Types, and select the relevant link.

The table below describes the fields on the Guest Types page relevant to hotels.

Field	Description
Code	The code used to reference the guest type.
Description	General description of the guest type.
Guest Group Type	Specifies the guest group classification for hotels. The options are: Adult - The guest is counted as an adult on the reservation. Child - The guest is counted as a child on the reservation. Infant - The guest is counted as an infant on the reservation.
Internal Comment	Comment for internal purposes.

Note: Guest types are not required. If guest types are not needed for pricing purposes, they do not have to be configured. See also Guest Types in the Bookings documentation for general guest type information.
