Child rate prices allow you to define specific pricing for child and infant guests on a rate code. Each rate config line in the Daily Room Rate Config FastTab has a Child Prices field that you can drill down on to open the Guest Type Rate Prices page, where you configure the extra charge for each child or infant guest type.
This replaces the previous child group pricing and provides more flexibility by using guest types to define per-age-group pricing. See Daily Room Rate Config in Rate Management for details on how to configure these prices.
The table below describes the fields on the Guest Type Rate Prices page.

| Guest Type | Specifies the guest type this rate price applies to. Only guest types with a Guest Group Type of Child or Infant can be selected. Adult pricing is handled separately through the main rate and the Extra Adult field on the rate config line. |
| Price | Specifies the extra amount to charge per night for this guest type. |
Note: The Extra Adult field on the rate config line is used for additional adult charges when the number of adults exceeds the room type's standard occupancy. For occupancy-based rates, the fields Adult 1 through Adult 5 determine the price for each adult guest. See Daily Room Rate Config for more information.
