Troubleshooting

This article helps you find the cause when items, prices, or inventory do not show up in Google as expected.

Check the Product Data

Run Validate Product Data on the Google Inventory Administration page. It lists the items in the store's Item Distribution that have a missing GTIN or low inventory. Items with a missing GTIN cannot be linked to existing Google product data.

Check the Item Requirements

If an item is not sent to Google, check that it meets the requirements in Requirements:

  • The item is in the Item Store Distribution of the store.
  • The item has a Product Url and an Image Url.
  • The item has a valid GTIN type of barcode.
  • The item has a price in the currency of the store and the Google store, and has inventory available.

Also check that the Merchant ID, the Google store code, and the data source on the Google Inventory Administration page match the values in Google Merchant Center and Google Business Profile.

Check the Scheduler Job

If the Scheduler job reports Cannot find Google Setup for Store, the store code in the Code field on the Scheduler Job card does not have a line on the Google Inventory Administration page.

Debug the Communication

  1. Open Web Service Setup and, on the Logs FastTab, set Server Log Level to All.
  2. Run the update again. Each request that is sent to Google is logged in the Web Request Log, which you can open from Related - Web Service.
  3. Find the Google requests by their Request ID, which starts with GLIA-.
