A Bump Bar is a keyboard device that can be used with the Web Kitchen Display System to run a set of KDS operations.
To configure a Bump Bar:
- Click the
icon, enter Kitchen Station Listand select the relevant link. - Select the station you want to configure a bump bar for and open the Kitchen Station Card.
- Select Use Bump Bar. A Bump Bar FastTab appears.
- In the Bump Bar FastTab, the list is pre-populated with the operations that the operation profile includes. Select a Key Code for each of the operations you want to be able to run from the keyboard. Note: Each kitchen screen that can show multiple kitchen stations have the same input. So the Key Codes need to be unique for each station that are on the same screen. There are tools online that can help you find the Key Code for each key on your device.
To make sure that the kitchen stations on a kitchen screen do not have overlapping bump bar operations configured, there is a list of Station Operation Keys for each Kitchen Screen.
- Click the icon, enter Kitchen Screen Listand select the relevant link.
- Open the Kitchen Screen Card for the Screen you want to check.
- In the top menu press the Station Operation Keysto get an overview of all the key codes configured for each Kitchen Station on this screen.
