The Food and Beverage takeaway process uses the following panels in the Demo Data Company:

In the #FAB-TD interface profile:

  • #OFFLINE

In the ##DEFAULT interface profile:

  • #FAB-CONTACTINFO
  • #FAB-CONTINFO-ZOOMPL
  • #FAB-ORDER-COMMENT
  • #FAB-ORDER-DATETIME

To run the Food and Beverage takeaway process, you need to have these panels in your company in their respective interface profiles.

Registering the Hospitality Module

In order to have the basic setup in place you must do one of the following:

  • register the Hospitality Module.
  • insert default data and run the Insert process for Hospitality commands.

Setting up a takeaway sales type

You must set up at least one sales type that represents takeaway.

Note: You can have multiple takeaway sales types per restaurant (for example one for web orders and one for restaurant orders). Each POS Terminal specifies which sales type it uses to create F&B orders. This is useful if you want to give specific discounts depending on the sales type of the order.

Configuring Hospitality Setup

  1. Click the icon, enter Hospitality Setup, and select the relevant link.
  2. In the F&B Order No Client Name field, enter text that is displayed in the Client Name field of the FAB order when there is no name specifies with the order.
  3. In the F&B Order Comment Icon field, enter a letter that indicates that there are comments on the FAB order.

Configuring the restaurant

  1. Click the icon, enter Restaurant List, and select the relevant link.
  2. Select the restaurant that you want to set up F&B Takeaway in.
  3. Go to the Delivery & Takeout FastTab.
  4. Select the Use F&B Order Structure check box. This tells the system to create FAB orders instead of Delivery orders when an order is sent from eCommerce.
  5. Go to the LS Commerce FastTab. Here you configure the restaurant web store information.

Setting up hospitality types

For a restaurant accepting takeaway orders, you must set up a hospitality type for each F&B takeaway sales type used by the restaurant.

  1. Click the icon, enter Hospitality Types, and select the relevant link.
  2. Click New to create a new hospitality type.
  3. Select the appropriate restaurant in the Restaurant No. field.
  4. Select the desired F&B sales type in the Sales Type field.
  5. In the Service Type field, select Takeaway Service.

The program selects Kot List as the Layout View. This layout view applies to POS terminals showing the KOT list (kitchen order tickets) created by the FAB orders.

Note: eCommerce can also take QR code orders. Then the sales type is included in the QR code.

Setting up POS terminals in the restaurant

You need one or more F&B POS terminals for showing and creating F&B takeaway orders in the restaurant. These F&B POS terminals show F&B takeaway orders created by eCommerce and F&B orders created by other F&B POS Terminals. They have a unique F&B layout (startup controller).

  1. In the Hospitality Type Card, click Related - POS Terminals to open the Restaurant POS Terminals card.
  2. For each POS terminal taking F&B takeaway orders in the restaurant, select #FAB-TD in the Interface Profile field. This interface profile has the unique F&B layout. In the demo data, this is POS terminal P0119, Takeaway Host.
  3. In the Sales Type Filter field, select all takeaway sales types used by the restaurant.
  4. In the F&B Takeaway Sales Type field, select the sales type that is used to create FAB orders on this POS terminal.

For each POS terminal you use for handling the orders in the kitchen (the KOT list):

  • In the Sales Type Filter field, select all sales types that it should show. The sales types shown should have Layout View KOT List. In the demo data, this is POS terminal P0113, Counter.

Setting up a POS terminal for eCommerce FAB orders

The eCommerce service must have one POS terminal dedicated. The transactions made by the eCommerce service, are marked with this POS terminal. In the demo data, this is POS terminal P0117, Web Store.

  1. In the Restaurant POS Terminals card, select the POS terminal that is used for eCommerce FAB takeaway orders.
  2. In the Sales Type Filter field, select the takeaway sales type used for creating eCommerce FAB orders in the restaurant.
  3. In the F&B Takeaway Sales Type field, select the sales type used for creating FAB orders.
