The Food and Beverage (FAB) Delivery and Takeaway Process

The Food and Beverage takeaway process is handled within the FAB Host panel in the POS:

  • It is an #OFFLINE panel specifically structured around the FAB delivery and takeaway process.
  • It belongs to an interface profile that has POS startup controller #FAB-TAKEOUT-PANEL.
  • It displays a list of the restaurant's FAB orders (paid or un-paid) that are created either within the POS terminals with interface profiles with the controller #FAB-TAKEOUT-PANEL, or are sent through eCommerce.
  • From here you can create new FAB orders and enter the customer's details and pickup time.
  • From here you take payment for FAB orders, finalize orders when the customer comes to pick them up, or mark them as a no-show.

You can filter the FAB order list by order status:

Order Status Description
Paid: Shows orders that have been paid and not finalized.
Unpaid Shows orders that are unpaid.
Finalized: Shows finalized orders.
No-Show: Shows orders that have been marked as no-show.

You can also filter the order list by:

  • Sales type
  • Pre-orders

Note: You can also open the Fab Host from the function menu of the POS layout of another hospitality type:

  • Create a button with the POS command SHOW_TAKEOUT_PANEL and the #FAB-HOST panel as parameter.
  • You can also specify a specific sales type with this command, so that when you open the panel, the sales type filter is already set to this sales type.
  • You need to copy the POS panel #FAB HOST (use the Copy POS Panel with Controls from the POS Panel Card) to the appropriate interface profile used by the POS terminal(s) that show this hospitality type.
