The Planet Tax Assisted Setup is a guided wizard that prepares your environment for UAE tax-free processing. The wizard applies the required configuration package and saves the minimum refund amount in a single step-by-step flow.
Open the assisted setup
- Click the
icon, enter Assisted Setup, and select the relevant link. - In the Assisted Setup list, locate Set up Planet Tax under the Extensions group.
- Select the row, then choose Start Setup.
Wizard steps
Step 1 – Welcome
The first page introduces the setup. Choose Next to continue.
Step 2 – Data
Enter the following information:

| Minimum Amount | Specifies the minimum purchase amount required for a transaction to qualify for a VAT refund. Transactions at or below this amount do not generate a tax-free request. |
| Configuration Package | Select the field to open a file browser and upload the RapidStart configuration package PackagePLANETTAX_v231.rapidstart. The package installs the POS panel and supporting data needed for shopper registration. After the file is uploaded, the package code is displayed in the field. |
Choose Next to proceed to the confirmation step.
Step 3 – Finish
The Finish step displays a read-only summary of the values you entered. Review the Minimum Amount and Configuration Package values. If the information is correct, choose Finish.
When you choose Finish, the wizard:
- Saves the Minimum Amount on the Planet Tax Setup page.
- Applies the configuration package so that all POS terminals have access to the required data.
- Marks Set up Planet Tax as completed in the Assisted Setup list.
Note: The Configuration Package field can only be edited in Step 2. To upload a different package, choose Back to return to Step 2.
