How to: Work With Member Point Journals

Member points are normally created by POS sales processes. Some procedures, however, require the possibility to directly enter member points to accounts and member points may need to be transferred between accounts. These tasks are handled by the Member Point Journal.

There are two types of member point journals, Normal and Transfer, and they are set up in Member Management - Setup - Member Point Journal Templates. The following describes how to set up and work with member point journals.

To create a member point journal

  1. Click the icon, enter Member Point Journal Templates, and select the relevant link.
  2. Click the New action.
  3. Fill in the Name and Description fields, and select a journal type, Normal or Transfer, by clicking the arrow in the Journal Type column.

Note: You can only transfer points between accounts in the same club.
Points can lose their value during transfer; it is the club's setup for transfer points that determines how many of the points are actually transferred. See How to: Work With the Transfer Value Factor.
