How to: Link Item Modifier Option to Menu Button
Linking an item modifier option to a menu button can be useful, if items generally have the same item modifiers assigned. Without any pop-up opening, the user selects the desired modifier for the selected item with one click.
Note:This feature requires POS Pop-up Version Enhanced.
Note: The item of the selected journal line must have the item modifier assigned. Otherwise, pressing the item modifier menu button will prompt the user with an error message only.
To link an item modifier option to a menu button
- Assign the POPUPINFO POS command to a menu button.
- In the Parameter field, select the desired item modifier as parameter (inner drill-down button).
- In the Parameter field, click the outer drill-down button. The POS Button Parameters page appears with one line for ITEMNO and one line for SUBCODE.
- Insert either a subcode of the item modifier in the SUBCODE Parameter Value field, or an item number that is assigned to at least one subcode line in the ITEMNO Parameter Value field.
Note: There is no lookup available, you must copy the information from the item modifier subcodes.
If you are using an infocode that is marked as Filter on Parent UOM, you enter an item number in the ITEMNO line. The system picks the first subcode that has the item number as trigger code and the matching UOM of the parent item.
When the user presses the item modifier menu button, the system inserts the item modifier option linked to the button, if the currently selected line contains an item that the infocode is assigned to.
