Prescription Profiles
The prescription profile includes general setup for the prescription, replacement of generics, prescription defaults, identifications, label logo, and label settings.
The prescription profile is linked to the prescription terminal on the Prescription Terminal card.
The tables below list and describe the fields on the FastTabs in the Prescription Profile Card where you set up prescription profiles.
Here are shortcuts to the FastTab descriptions:
General
Field | Description |

Code | Here you write a name for the profile. |
Description | Here you write a description for the profile. |
Open Prescriptions | Here you select the view the prescription order should open in. The options are:

Customer ePrescr. Activities | Here you can specify in days when the customer's e-prescription activities should appear, for example: -30D |
Promt for Original Doc. Type | Select this check box, if a prescription order is being manually created. In that case, a pop-up window appears asking what the original type of the prescription is, for example paper. |
Presc. Order No. Series | Here you can select a number series for prescription orders. |
Emergency Presc. No. Series | Here you can select a number series for emergency prescriptions. |
Phone Presc. No. Series | Here you can select a number series for phone prescriptions. |
VAT Bus. Posting Group |
This field offers selections for different transaction scenarios. Available options are:

Price Group Code | Here you select a Price Group Code, a concise identifier used to categorize prescriptions into specific pricing groups. This classification streamlines pricing management by organizing items for consistent pricing strategies and adjustments. |
Block Discount | This field is a check box option that, when selected, restricts or blocks the application of discounts to the associated prescription. |
Currency Code | Represents the standardized code used to denote a specific currency. |
Max Days Until Withdraw Warning | Specifies the maximum number of days allowed before triggering a withdrawal warning. |
Use Ctrl. Label Barcode | Select this check box, if you want the system to print out the item barcode on the label instead of the product number. |
Confirm Qty. From Open Pack | Select this check box to confirm the quantity from an open pack. |
Confirm New Prescription Order | Select this check box to confirm new prescription orders. |
Require Document before Upload | Select this check box, if you want the system to look in e-prescription documents before uploading the prescription. |
Use Pick Labels | Select this check box, if you want the prescription order to use pick labels. |
Always print single Bag Label | Select this check box, if you want to always print just a single bag label. |
Synchronize POS Staff and Pharmacy Login | Select this check box, if you want to synchronize POS staff and pharmacy login, eliminating the need to log in separately to both systems. |
Unknown Issuer | Here you can select an issuer to replace unknown issuers. |
Commit during download | Select this check box to commit after each e-prescription during download of e-prescriptions. Note: Should only be used, if needed, and with extensive testing. |

Primary Substitution Filter | Here you can select a filter for substitution items. The filter determines the priority. The options are:

Qty. Range Type | This field offers options for managing quantity ranges. Select Higher and Lower or Only Lower to define how these ranges are determined. |
Narcotics Qty. Range Type | Here you specify how quantity ranges for narcotics are managed.Select Higher and Lower or Only Lower to define the criteria for these ranges. |
Qty. Filter Range | Here you specify the range of the quantity filter. |
Qty. Filter in Auto-Substitution | Select this check box to enable the quantity filter in auto-substitution. |
Max Items To Return in Search | This field specifies the maximum number of items displayed in search results. Adjust this setting to limit the number of items returned for better search efficiency. |
Manually Registered Prescriptions

Last Valid Date Calc. | Here you specify when a paper prescription expires, for example 1Y. |
Phone - Last Valid Date Calc. | Here you can define after how much time a phone prescription expires, for example: 10D |
Fax - Last Valid Date Calc. | Here you can define after how much time a fax prescription expires, for example: 1Y |
Auto-populate Issue Date | Select this check box, if you want the current date to appear automatically on prescriptions when they are created. |
Default Withdraw Interval Type |
This field offers options for specifying the default withdrawal interval. Available options are:

Default Withdraw Interval | This field allows you to set the default interval for withdrawals. |
Prescriptions Shown | Here you can specify what prescriptions to show. Available options: All or Active. |
Identification
Field | Description |
---|---|
Identification Requested | This check box indicates whether identification is requested. When enabled, it signifies that identification is required. |
Allow blank ID Number | This check box enables the option to leave the ID Number field blank. When enabled, users can proceed without entering an ID number. |
Identification Timeout (min) | Determines the duration, in minutes, before an identification session times out. |
Label Logo
Field | Description |
