You can use the Information Subcode table to define a set of possible codes that are valid as input for a particular Infocode with the Type being a Subcode. The POS terminal only accepts an input from the cashier that is identical to one of these subcodes.
Subcodes are for example used as reason codes for returning goods and registering flight numbers. They can trigger items, discount groups, and infocodes.
