The Route Management add-on for LS Central helps companies, who operate vessels like ferries on routes with the management of the routes and vessels, with gaining route-specific sales information and with some automation of route-specific processes like statement management.
The module supports accurate leg-specific update of VAT and dimensions based upon delivered GPS coordinates. The route leg change is based on the GPS coordinates at a port. There are two types of leg changes:
- Simple leg change – commonly to change VAT and dimensions.
- Full leg change – like simple leg change plus additional statement management
Ferry companies which do not require VAT change benefit from gaining route specific sales information and the process automation.

Prerequisites:
The Route Management add-on for LS Central is usually implemented into an LS Central system at a later stage. Common LS Central settings like stores and POS terminals need to be in place. While implementing the LS Central system, the use of the Route Management add-on should be taken into account.
LS Retail Consulting needs to be involved in the implementation of the Route Management add-on. The first step is pre-analysis to define the project scope having the customer's business in mind. The result of the pre-analysis is the definition of needed workshops. Integration to GPS needs to be analysed and is project specific.
