To split an order via the Approved Prescription Orders tile
The function Split Order is available when the Prescription Order has status In Process or Approved. This function is used when the Prescription Order for some reason needs to be split. The function can be used for orders containing e-prescriptions as well as paper prescriptions.
When an order has two or more prescription order lines, the Split Order function is enabled.
To split an order via the Open Prescription Orders tile
- Click the Open Prescription Orders tile in the Role Center.
- Select your order, and click the Edit action.
- Press Esc to go back to the Prescription Order page.
- Click the Split Order action on the Edit menu.
- On the Split Prescription Order page, select the line(s) on the Current Lines FastTab that you want to move to another order, and click the Split action.
- The line(s) is now moved down to the Moved Lines FastTab. If you want to move the line back, select the line and click the Move Back action.
- Click Close. A message box appears stating that a new prescription order has been made with the moved number of lines. The ID number of the new order is also displayed in the message.
Note: When an order is split, the new order with the moved lines gets the same status as the original order (here In Process). You can find the new order by clicking the Open Prescription Orders tile in the Role Center.
To split an order via the Approved Prescription Orders tile
- Click the Approved Prescription Orders tile in the Role Center.
- Select your order, and click the View action.
- Press Esc to go back to the Prescription Order page.
- Click Split Order on theEdit menu.
- On the Split Prescription Order page select the line(s) on the Current Lines FastTab that you want to move to another order, and click the Split action.
- The line(s) is now moved down to the Moved Lines FastTab. If you want to move the line back, select the line and click the Move Back action.
- Click Close. A message box appears stating that a new prescription order has been made with the moved number of lines. The ID number of the new order is also displayed in the message.
Note: When an order is split, the new order with the moved lines gets the same status as the original order (here Approved). You can find the new order by clicking the Approved Prescription Orders tile in the Role Center.
