e-Prescriptions are prescriptions that are sent and received from the prescription database. There are mainly two types of e-prescriptions, normal e-Prescriptions that are retrieved directly from the prescription order database, and Incoming Orders that are sent directly to the pharmacy. Both types are e-Prescriptions, but the processes involved are different.
The first step of processing a prescription is always to create an order.
