Zip Codes

Zip and Post codes specify how you want to associate post codes with cities. A post code can be associated with one or more cities, and a city can also be associated with more than one post code.

In LS Central NA, sales tax is determined based on the destination of the sale, specifically where the item is shipped to the customer. The Tax Area Code identifies this location using the delivery address, particularly the Zip Code. This requirement affects all shipped orders, including those in the following scenarios:

  • Customer Order is shipped from another store.
  • Customer Order is shipped from warehouse (with store card).
  • Customer Order is shipped from warehouse (no store card).
  • Customer Order initiated by e-commerce (LS basket calculation).
  1. Click the icon, enter Zip Codes and select the relevant link.
  2. When you enter a zip code, the program fills in the corresponding City field. If there is only one city linked to the zip code, the field is filled in automatically. If there are multiple cities, you are prompted to select one.

Alternatively, if you fill in the City field first, the program fills in the zip code if there is only one associated with the city. If there are multiple zip codes, you are presented with a list to choose from.

  3. Then, select the Tax Area Code according to the destination.
