To add a deal to deal price lists
Deals have a Deal Price that is set on the Deal card. You can set up additional deal pricing for deals by creating deal price lists.
- Deal price lists are valid for specific customer price groups or all registered customers and members.
- You can assign starting and ending dates to them and a validation schedule to control, down to time of day, when the prices are valid.
- You can use Min. Quantity and Max. Quantity settings to give offers on deals such as 2 for 1.
See How Deal Pricing Works for more information on how to configure deal pricing.
To set up a deal price list
- Click the icon, enter Deal Price Lists, and select the relevant link.
- Click New to insert a new deal price list.
- Fill in the Code and Description fields.
- In the Assign-To Type field, select All Registered Customers if you want the price list to be valid for all registered customers and members.
Otherwise, select Customer Price Group as Assign-To Type, and select the desired customer price group in the Assign-To No. field. - In the Starting Date and Ending Date fields, you can select specific dates for either when the deal price list becomes valid, or when it expires, or both.
- In the Validation Schedule ID field, you can select a validation schedule that limits when the price list is valid.
- In the Min. Quantity field, you can enter how many deals are needed within a transaction to make the price list valid. This value is the default value, but can be changed for each price list line.
- In the Max. Quantity field, you can enter the maximum number of deals that the price list is valid for. This value is the default value, but can be changed for each price list line.
To add deals to a deal price list
- In the Lines section, select a deal in the Deal No. field that you want to add to the price list. The deal price of the deal (on the Deal card) appears in the Default Deal Price field, and the Min. and Max. Quantity are copied from the deal price list.
- Enter the new deal price in the Deal Price field.
- You can edit the Min. Quantity and Max Quantity fields.
Status of deal price lists
Deal price lists have a Status, Draft, Active, or Inactive.
Note:
- You cannot edit a deal price list if status is Active.
- Only active deal price lists are taken into account, when the system finds the price of a deal.
- When you open the Deal Price Lists page, the system checks if there are any deal price lists with expired ending dates. If it finds such lists, it makes them Inactive. An Expired Ending Date is older than yesterday's date.
To activate the deal price list
- Select Active in the Status field of the deal price list, and confirm the message.
To add a deal to deal price lists
