How to: Work with Price Priority

This article is a quick overview of Price Priority.

Price Priority

Active price is the best price from:

  • Promotion
  • Sales Price
  • Customer Price

If none of the above exists for an item, the price from the Retail Item Card is the Active Price.

The Active Price is the price the discount is given on.

If the Active Price is a Promotion Price and the Promotion is marked to disable periodic discounts, the  Periodic discounts will not affect the Price.

For Mix & Match, Discount Offers, and Multibuy you can set up priority for overlapping discounts.

Periodic Discount Priority

On the Periodic Discount Priority page, you can see all offers as well as offers that overlap. Here you can also change the priority of the offers.

Example:

In the same period there is a 10% discount of all non-dairy products, but also a 15% discount of hamburgers which you want to have highest priority.

The price that comes out of the Periodic Discount – if any, is the price that Coupon discount is given on and the discount from the Deal is calculated.

Example:

For the hamburger in the above example. you also have a meal deal, a hamburger and a drink for 5.00 €, and the customer has a coupon which gives him 10% of the same.

Note: Deal price can result in a minus discount if the active price is lower than the deal price.
