Too Much Money

Another example of mismatches is if too much money is on the POS when you reach the Tender Declaration and the End of Day procedure.

Example: At the end of the day there is 1.25 Euro more than expected on the POS. This can be detected at all stages of the End-of-Day procedure, similar to when there is too little money. In the example there is 1.25 extra Euro on the POS at the end of the day.

Again, this is visible as a Difference Amount on the Open Statement card.

The same kind of warning is displayed as when there is too little money, and as long as you agree and the difference is within the allowed mismatch, the procedure will not stop.

You will be informed how much difference there is. If you accept the difference, you can continue the posting.

You can see the excess amount of 1.25 Euro, for example here:

  1. Click the icon, enter Store Safe List, and select the relevant link.
  2. Select and open a safe, and click the Navigate action, then click Safe - Decl. Diff. Entries.
  3. The Trans. Decl. Diff. Entries card appears. Details are on the Transaction card, including staff ID and time frame.

If you check the transaction by clicking the Transaction action on the Trans. Decl. Diff. Entries card, you will find details about the transaction, the store, the staff ID, and the time when the transaction took place.
