At the end of a sale when a transaction is posted to the POS database, it is also pushed to the remote database.
Error handling
If the remote database is unavailable, the transaction is only stored in the POS database.
When the remote database becomes available, the POS sends the unsent transactions. You can specify the number of transactions that are sent in each batch, as well as the delay between batches using the Trans. Resend Limit and Trans. Resend Delay fields on the POS Functionality Profile Card.
Note: These fields are only used when resending transactions; normal operation sends one transaction at a time. Note also that the system does not detect when the remote database becomes available. This must be triggered by posting a sale on the POS or by opening the drawer. When idle, the POS tries to send the transactions on a two-minute interval.
