  1. Click the icon, enter Retail Competitors, and select the relevant link.
  2. Locate the relevant competitor in the list.
  3. Click in the Date of Last Price Check field to open the Competitors Ledger Entry list.
  4. Fill in the Item No. field by selecting an item number.
  5. Fill in the Date and Price fields.

Sections and Shelves

To have access to sales information for sections and shelves, you need to assign sections and shelves to retail items or Retail Product Groups. You can assign as many sections and shelves to an item or Retail Product Group as you want. However, you can only get sales information for one section and shelf per item, unless you have a way of knowing at the POS terminals from which section and shelf the item was taken. If this is the case, you need to adapt this method to the LS Retail system.

To assign Sections and Shelves to Retail Product Groups

  1. Click the icon, enter Retail Product Groups, and select the relevant link.
  2. Click the View or Edit List action to open the Retail Product Group card.
  3. Click the Related action, then Prod. Group - Section Location. The Product Group Section Locations page appears.
  4. Fill in the Store No., Section Code, and Shelf Code fields.
  5. For one, and only one of the section locations, select the Shows Sales Statistics check box. The program will keep information about sales for the relevant Retail Product Group for this section and shelf assignment only.

Repeat step 4 for each section and shelf you want to assign to the Retail Product Group.

Note: When you assign a Retail Product Group to a Retail Item, the item will automatically have the same section and shelf location as the Retail Product Group. You can adapt this assignment for each item.

To assign sections and shelves to Items

  1. Click the icon, enter Retail Item List, and select the relevant link.
  2. Double-click to select an item in the list. The Retail Item Card appears.
  3. Click the Related action, then click Retail/POS - Store Information - Section Locations. The Item Section Locations page appears.
  4. If the Retail Product Group the selected item belongs to has been assigned section locations, the program has already copied the section location of the Retail Product Group to the item. In that case, you can change the Section Code and Shelf Code fields, as needed.
  5. If the Retail Product Group has not assigned a section location, fill in the Section Code and Shelf Code fields.
  6. For one, and only one of the section locations, select the Shows Sales Statistics check box. The program will keep information of sales for the relevant item for this section and shelf assignment only.

Repeat step 4 and 5 for each section and shelf you want to assign to the Retail Product Group.
