How to: Printing Receipt Barcodes

The POS can print a barcode on the customer receipt.

The Receipt Barcode check box on the POS Terminal Card, on the Printing FastTab, turns this barcode receipt printing on and off.

Normally, the POS prints a 20-letter barcode generated directly from the Transaction’s Receipt Number (for example T00000P0001000001628).

By using the field Receipt Barcode ID you can let the POS print a 14-digit barcode.

If a value higher than 0 is set in this field, the POS will print Receipt Barcodes that contain this number with 4 digits (for example 0101) combined with a 9-digit Transaction Number (for example 000000288). So a typical receipt barcode will consist of 14 letters (for example T0101000000288) instead of the 20-letter barcode.

If the Receipt Barcode ID field is 0 (zero), the POS prints the 20-letter barcode. By default the width is set to 8 and height is set to 40. The maximum and minimum width and height can vary between printers.

By default the Barcode Type is CODE39 but using the CODE128_A is acceptable.
