How to: Set a Pickup Warning

An amount can be set as a Pickup Warning to notify the cashier when the amount in drawer is over a predefined limit and should be transferred to a bank or a safe. The function is set in the POS Functionality Profile Card, and the amount is set in a store Tender Type card.

  1. Open the POS Functionality Profile Card.
    Tip: You can use the Where Used action to open a list of the stores that use this particular profile to make sure that you are editing the right profile.
  2. On the General FastTab, select the POS Pickup Warning check box, and select Tender Used in the Tender Pickup Warning Type field.
  3. Open the Store Card, and click the Related action.
  4. Click Store - Cash & Safe Management - Tender Types.
  5. Select Cash from the list, and click Manage - Edit.
  6. Now in the Tender Type Card, specify the amount in the POS Pickup Warning Amount field.

The warning appears on the POS when the amount in the drawer is over amount specified in Step 6 above.

Note: The warning is not a pop-up warning, but a text line in the top part of the POS.
