The eCommerce – Magento virtual machine already has the MagePlaza SMTP extention installed. Partners and consultants can configure this extension to send emails (order confirmation, user registration, and so on) from the virtual machine.

If you are using Gmail or a Google Suite account for the SMTP and you are getting an error while trying to configure the extension, you need to make sure that the configuration for a less secure app is set to ON in your Gmail or Google Suite account.
