Any time you see a barcode icon on the navigation bar or to the right in the search bar, you can scan a barcode:

  • Tap the barcode icon to open the camera barcode scanner.

The Mobile Inventory app supports keyboard input scanners, such as Bluetooth scanners and scanners integrated into the Android device, but for these scanners to work properly, you must set them to send the Enter key on barcode scanned.

The app supports some devices with physical scanners on a deeper level, follow these instructions to set them up.

Motorola/Zebra TC series

Works with version 4 and later.

You can set the DataWedge to Intent Output for a better barcode scanning experience. The app will then not need to depend on having the text box selected for the barcode scan to work.

The Motorola TC series can be used with keyboard input, but we recommend that you set it up with Intent Output.

To set up Intent Output

  1. Open the DataWedge app.
  2. Tap Menu or the three dots in the top-right corner.
    1. Tap New Profile, and enter a new profile name: LSRetail.
  3. Open the new LSRetail profile.
  4. Scroll to Applications.
    1. Select Associated apps.
