What Needs to Be in Place

Before any activity or reservation can be created in the Bookings module, the following setups must be in place:

  • License
You must obtain the Bookings granule as part of your LS Central license.
  • Object Set
Download the latest Bookings object set from the LS Retail Portal (login required).
Import the object set into a LS Retail database. No LS Retail or standard objects should be modified by this import. The Object set is also included in the LS Central W1 releases.
  • Retail Items
This setup is part of the LS Retail BackOffice setup. Refer to the base module documentation in the LS Central Help for setting up retail items.
  • Point of Sale
The Point of Sale settings must be in place, see the LS Central Help.
  • Number Series
Number series for the reservation identifier as well as the activities. Refer to standard Dynamics Business Central help for a description of the number series setups.
  • POS Commands
The Bookings POS commands must be registered using the LS POS module registration. Register codeunit 10015804 and codeunit 10015821 as POS module.
  • Role Center
Set up user personalization using the Bookings Role Center (10015813), or the Membership Role Center (10015967).
  • Functionality Profile The functionality profile for the Point of Sale using the Bookings module should preferably be set to print free text on the receipt, since the date and time, activity number, and client name is assigned to free text lines associated with the product on the POS.
  • Retail User Your activity user (login) should be set up as a retail user.
  • BI integration If you want to present Resource utilization in the LS Central Insight for Bookings, codeunit 10015889 LSC ACT Utilization Process must be assigned to a job scheduler for updating the related BI worktable with information.
