How to: Create Cross-selling
Cross-selling infocodes have certain setup options that are important for maximum and minimum selection, triggering, and so on.
Once you have created cross-selling infocodes, you can assign them to retail items, retail product groups, or item categories. You can also group them together in a cross-selling group.
You link the selection codes of the cross-selling infocode to specific items or let them be answers to a question (like Yes and No).
To create cross-selling infocodes
- Search for Cross-sellings.
- Click New to create a new cross-selling infocode.
- For filling in the fields on the page, refer to Setup Options for Cross-selling.
- On the Cross-sell Selection Subcodes FastTab, create a new line.
- Enter a code in the Subcode field (01 for example).
- For a question, enter the answer in the Description field.
- For an item, select Item in the Trigger Function field. See Creating Infocodes with Selection for more information on how to fill in the fields.
- In the Infocode field, select the cross-selling item.
- Repeat for more answers or items.
Note: When you select items in the POS Pop-up window that require a serial number, lot number, or a variant, the system lets you to enter this information at selection time. The system lets you enter (or scan) the serial or lot number via an alphabetic keypad with possible lookup. For the variant, the program opens another POS Pop-up window to display the variant codes for the item and lets you to select one.
Example
An example of a cross-selling infocode is Camera.
- Input is not required, multiple selection is allowed.
- Automatic triggering is on.
- The code is not marked as Link Item Lines to Trigg. Line since there is no need for added items to be directly after the triggering item line.
- The Parent Qty. Handling is None, since the the cross-selling items selected are also independent of the quantity of the triggering item.
