The Insert Data functionality inserts three Scheduler jobs and one subjob. These jobs are used by the Franchise module. The Franchise jobs are used for Franchiser and Franchisee setups. See also Jobs on Scheduler.
The jobs are:
- FRANCHOUTB for the Outbound process.
- FRANCHINB for the Inbound process.
- FRANCHDD for the Data process.
- The subjob FRANOUTBH, which is connected to job FRANCHDD.
You can find these jobs on the Scheduler Job page and in the Scheduler Job List.
Every implementation has to put in some data for the FRANCHDD job. To do so, perform the following:
- Navigate to the Scheduler Job List page, and double-click the FRANCHDD job.
- Click the Related action, and then click Job.
- The Receiver Groups option should have at least one entry: All for All Stores.
- The Receiver Locations Include/Exclude option: here, all Distribution Location codes must be set up for the Franchiser’s Franchisees.
The Franchise jobs
The three Franchise jobs, FRANCHDD, FRANCHINB, and FRANCHOUTB are set up in LS Retail's Scheduler. They are inserted there by the Insert Default Data process, and are displayed in the Scheduler page job list.
These jobs are used in Franchiser and Franchisee setups.
In the Time Between Checks column in the Scheduler page, you can specify a value for how often the checks should be performed.
Normally, the Franchiser wants to receive and send information more often that the Franchisee. For example, the Franchiser can run the checks every 60 minutes while the Franchisee would choose six hours (four times a day).
