Attributes on Variant Framework Base Values

Variant Framework Base Values can have attributes.

These attributes are Hard Attributes as they are stored as fields in the Extended Variant Dimensions table.

You can use hard attributes to define further the variant framework you have set up. This can be used for data analysis.

To link attributes to variant framework base values

Attributes are found on the Variant Framework Base Values page.

  1. Click the icon, enter Variant Framework Base Values, and select the relevant link.
  2. Select attributes for Hard Attribute 1, Hard Attribute 2, and Hard Attribute 3 for the corresponding base value. The attributes that appear in the look-up list have Attribute Linking set up for dim base value.
  3. In the Variant Base Values section, select an attribute value for each variant base value in the fields that correspond to the attributes selected as hard attributes 1, 2, and 3.
