Self service kiosk terminals are either open or closed. If closed, they show the Closed image on the screen so the user knows the kiosk is closed for ordering.

Self service kiosk terminals have an enabled switch - Self-Service Kiosk Enabled. If a kiosk is out of order or needs to be closed, it is possible to disable it, either from the Self Service Kiosk Terminal Status page or from the Manager POS panel of the kiosk. If a terminal is not enabled, it is closed until it is enabled again.

If the current time is outside of the opening hours defined by a calendar that is based on:

The restaurant's Self Service Kiosk calendar (if defined)

The restaurant's Opening Hours calendar (if defined and the Self Service Kiosk calendar is not defined).

Defining a Self Service Kiosk Calendar
- Click the
icon, enter Restaurant List, and select the relevant link.
- Select the desired restaurant.
- On the Retail Calendar fasttab, select Retail Calendar List.
- Select New.
- In the Calendar Type field, select Self Service Kiosk.
- In the Group Type field, select Store.
- In the ID field, select the number of the restaurant.
- Select Retail Calendar, Card.
- Set up the opening hours as you would any other retail calendar.
Enabling and disabling self service kiosk terminals
In the Self Service Kiosk Terminal Status page
- Click the
icon, enter Self Service Kiosk Terminal Status, and select the relevant link.
- Select the Self-Service Kiosk Enabled field to enable or disable the selected terminal.
The Open Now field indicates whether the terminal is currently open, based on the opening hours of the restaurant's calendar and if the terminal is enabled or not.
The Opening Hours field displays a text that describes the opening hours of the active calendar.
In the Manager POS Panel
- On the opening screen of the self service kiosk terminal, triple click the top right corner of the screen. The Logon panel appears.
- Enter a manager ID and password and select OK.
- Select the button that indicates whether the terminal is enabled or not.
- Confirm the question.
