Working with Comments in Pages

The Comment field

In source pages such as the Activity Reservation Card, the Comment field contains the first comment registered to the source record.

You can enter a comment directly in an empty Comment field. The program registers the comment to the source with no comment category.

By drilling down in this field, the Comments page opens.

Comment count in FactBox pages

In the FactBox of source pages such as the Activity Reservation Card, there is a Comment Count field that shows the count of comments registered to the source and the count of related comments (2/4).

The Comments page

The Comments page shows comments registered to the source in question at the top section. The bottom section shows comments registered to related source records.

In the top section you can:

  • enter more comments.
  • delete existing comments.
  • edit existing comments.
  • create comments with comment categories or change comment categories of existing comments.
  • create comments with comment categories linked to attributes (a list of the attribute options appears when you select the comment category, for example an Allergy category).
  • move comments up and down, or to the top (the top comment appears in the Comment field on the Source page).
  • change comment priority and scope.
  • mark the comment to be sent to kitchen (or not).

The Related Comments section

The Comment Setup contains one setup field that controls how related comments appear in the Comments page:

Related Comments View 

  • By Source and Reference - the comments appear grouped by Source and reference. You can collapse or expand the view.
  • By Category - the comments appear grouped by Category. You can collapse or expand the view.

Displaying the source record page

  • You can drill down in the Reference field to open the corresponding source record page.

Displaying the Comment page

  • You can drill down in the Comment field to open the Comments page for corresponding source record where you can edit and add comments registered to that source record.
