Migrate Data from Standard KDS to Web KDS

To use the migration tool

Available in LS Central version 26.0 and onwards is a tool for migrating Standard KDS data to the Web KDS configuration.

For users on version 25 the migration tool is available as an extension, and can be downloaded from the LS Retail Portal (login required) and published to the BC environment.

The tool migrates the Display Stations, Routing setup, and the Aggregate profiles(Queue profiles) from the Standard KDS to the Web KDS.
The other profiles are populated with fixed default data so the Web KDS is able to show the information on the stations. The user can then replace or enhance these profiles.

To use the migration tool

  1. Switch to the Restaurant Manager Role Center, and click the Web KDS action. 
  2. Click Settings - Migrate KDS configuration to Web KDS, or click the icon, enter Migrate KDS Configuration to Web KDS, and select the relevant link.

If you are using the extension, the Role Center menu option is not available.

There are two actions to choose from:

  • Migrate Standard KDS to Web KDS
    First select the restaurant you want to migrate for.
    You can migrate data for more than one restaurant by running the tool again and select another restaurant.

  • Delete data from all Web KDS tables
    This command deletes all data from the Web KDS tables.
    Note: If multiple restaurants have been migrated, the data for all of them is deleted.
