How to: Design a Header Pane on the Display Station (KDS Header Profile)
The KDS Header Profile defines the information you want to display in the header of the display station.
To create a header profile
- Go to the KDS Header Profiles (click the
icon, enter KDS Header Profiles, and select the relevant link.).
- Click the Plus icon
and enter a profile ID and description.
- When the profile has been created, click the KDS Header Pane Designer action. This is where you create lines and columns.
- Click the Manage action, and then click New Header Pane Line to create a new line.
Note: A new line is added to the KDS Header Pane Columns FastTab in the bottom part of the page. - In the KDS Header Pane Columns FastTab enter definitions of what each column in the line stands for.
Tip: Click the New Header Pane Column action to create a new column.
The configurable fields are:
Field | Description |

Column Number | The number of the column. |
Column Type | Defines what is displayed in the column. The available options are: Time, Page No., Station Name, Text, APT(D), APT(H), and Aggregate Groups. APT(D) means average production time for the day, and APT(H) means average production time for the last hour. If you choose Aggregate Groups, the groups that are in the aggregate profile assigned to the display station will appear in the column. |
Caption | A text that is displayed in the column, if the value in Column Type is Caption. If the Column Type is APT(D) or APT(H), this Caption field is also editable and appears in front of the time. |
Column Alignment | The alignment of the text in the column. The options are: Center, Left, and Right. |
Text Color | Here you choose the text color. The default value (-1). |
Back Color | Here you choose the background color. The default value (-1). |
Font Style | Here you choose the font style for the column. The options are Regular, Bold, Italic, Strikeout, and Underline. The default is Regular. |
Note: Changing the color values or the font style will make the field different and stand out from the rest of the line.
The header profile is assigned to a visual profile and the size of the pane is also set there.
