Dining Area Plans

The dining area plan for the dining area specifies:

  • when the dining area is open.
  • the time periods during the day.
  • which sections are open for each period.
  • the allowed reservation capacity and online reservation capacity for each period.
  • what dining area layout is in use for each period.
  • how many dining reservations and guests there are for the day and for each period, and how many there are on a waiting list for the day and each period. Note: You can drill down to view the dining reservations and the waiting list reservations.

The dining area plan is used to calculate dining area statistics. The dining area plans are archived at the same time as the statistics are calculated.

Note: You need to use dining area plan for dining table allocation. Otherwise, it is optional to use dining area plans. If you want to change layouts automatically, you use dining area plans to schedule when they should change.

The program automatically creates a dining area plan for each day using the dining area plan templates.
