The allocation status of a dining table is shown in the The Dining Allocation Panel for the interval you view, in the Graphical, Timeline, and Dining Table List views. How each status looks is set up in the allocation status menus of the dining area. A menu line with the ALLOC_STATUS command acts as the GUI template (skin, font, and glyphs) for one status; the command's parameter says which status.

Status When Menu line in the status menu
Free The table is free in the viewed interval, and no reservation is allocated to it. The FREE line of the status menu.
Occupied The table is occupied in the viewed interval, and no further reservation is allocated to it. The OCCUPIED line of the status menu.
Free-Reserved The table is free, but a reservation is allocated to it. The FREE-RESERVED line of the status menu.
Occupied-Reserved The table is occupied, and a reservation is also allocated to it. The OCC-RESERVED line of the status menu.
Joined The table is joined with another table. The table inherits its status from the master table. The JOINED line of the status menu.
Not Available The table cannot be used in the viewed interval. The NOT-AVAILABLE line.

On a multiple-seatings dining area

On a dining area that uses Multiple Seatings on a Dining Table, a dining table can hold several seated groups and allocated reservations in the same interval. The panel therefore shows how many of the table's seats are taken in the interval you are viewing, not a single free or occupied state. The statuses below are worked out for the viewed interval, which can be now or a later time.

Seats are taken both by groups that are seated and by reservations that are allocated to the table, so a table that is only booked for the interval shows as Partially Seated or Fully Seated too. A table never has the Occupied or Occupied-Reserved allocation status on a multiple-seatings dining area.

Status When Menu line in the status menu
Free No seated group or allocated reservation holds seats in the viewed interval, and no later reservation is allocated to the table. The FREE line of the status menu.
Free-Upcoming Reservations Nothing holds seats in the viewed interval, but a reservation is allocated to the table for a later interval. The FREE-UPCOMING line of the status menu, or the FREE-RESERVED line if the menu has no FREE-UPCOMING line.
Partially Seated Seated groups and allocated reservations hold some, but not all, of the table's seats in the viewed interval. The PART-SEATED line.
Partially Seated w/Upcoming Reservations The same as Partially Seated, and the interval also holds an allocated reservation that is not seated yet. The PART-SEATED-RES line. If the menu has no such line, the PART-SEATED line is used.
Fully Seated Seated groups and allocated reservations hold all of the table's seats in the viewed interval. The FULL-SEATED line.
Fully Seated w/Upcoming Reservations The same as Fully Seated, and the interval also holds an allocated reservation that is not seated yet. The FULL-SEATED-RES line. If the menu has no such line, the FULL-SEATED line is used.
Not Available The table cannot be used in the viewed interval. The NOT-AVAILABLE line.

These lines are in the status menus of the dining area: Graphical Tbl. Status Menu ID, Timeline Tbl. Status Menu ID, and List View Status Menu ID, on the Allocation Panel FastTab of the Dining Area Card. If a status menu has none of the lines listed for a status, the table is shown with the line for its free or reserved state instead. See How to: Identify Allocation Statuses Visually.

What opens when you press a table

The menus that open are set on the service flow, on the Pop-up Menus for Allocation/Reservation FastTab: the Allocation Current group is used for a viewed time close to now, the Allocation Future group for a later time, and the Allocation Reservation group for the rows of the Allocation Table Popup panel. A viewed time is later if it is more than Advance Seating of Reserved Guests (Min.) from now (30 minutes when the field is not set).

Status What opens
Free For a time close to now: in the Graphical and Dining Table List views, All. Free Pop-up Menu ID; in the Timeline view, Free-Timeline Pop-up Menu ID, both in the Allocation Current group. For a later time: All. Free Pop-up Menu ID and Free-Timeline Pop-up Menu ID in the Allocation Future group. For a later time, no menu opens if the viewed time is more than Free Tbl. Max. Time Wait (Min) from now.
Free-Upcoming Reservations In the Graphical and Dining Table List views, All. Free-Res. Pop-up Menu ID in the Allocation Current group, or All. Free-Res. Pop-up Menu ID in the Allocation Future group for a later time. In the Timeline view each interval is judged on its own: pressing a free interval opens the free-interval menu from the Free row, even if the table is partially seated at another time.
Partially Seated and Fully Seated The Allocation Table Popup panel, which lists the seated groups and the allocated reservations at the table in the viewed interval. No table-level menu opens. In the Timeline view, the status of the interval you press decides. A reservation or group on the panel opens a menu that depends on its state (see below).
Not Available No menu opens.
