Hybrid Component Server Manual Setup
The Hybrid Component Server (HCS) is a server that is composed of tools and methods to help you manage your offline customer environment.
The configuration files that we provide and the setup steps that follow below suggest how you could set up the offline environment. However, it may not include all the configuration data or setups you might require to fulfill your customer's needs.
The HCS:
- Enables the customer to run the POS without needing to rely on the connection to the LS Central SaaS service.
- Updates the offline POS with master data like items, prices, offers, customers, and so on from LS Central SaaS/Head Office.
- Includes a template or a POSMaster database for rolling out new stores and POS.
- Includes tools and methods to install all the components needed to set up the POS.
- Includes tools and methods to help you manage the offline environment and keep it up to date with the newest releases and related components.
- Is hosted on-premises, either on a Virtual Machine in cloud (f. ex. Azure) or in the customer's Head Office environment.
