The Default Restaurant Menu Type table contains default restaurant menu type settings for items, deals and product groups, and each restaurant can have different menu type settings for them all.
If menu types are used for taking orders, the item transaction line is marked with the item's default menu type (if any) on entry. If the item does not have a default menu type but the product group of the item does , the item transaction line is marked with the product group's default menu type on entry.
If menu types are used for deals, all deal lines and the deal header are marked with the deal's default menu type (if any) on entry.
