The Sales Type settings table is used to differentiate a POS sale between different sales types.
Based on the Sales Type, the Global dimension 2 can be set differently to the sale (normally deriving from
the Store Setup), limits can be set, different input requirements for example salesperson or comments
and printing can be triggered.
The Sales Type can be set in three different ways:
By The default set at the POS setup for each terminal.
By the POS 'logon' command at the logon menu, which has sales type as optional parameter.
By the POS 'Suspend' command, which optionally can have the sales type as parameter.
