Dose Dispensing

The Pharmacy Dose Dispensing functionality is designed to streamline the process of dispensing medications to patients who follow regular drug regimens.

It enables pharmacies and drug handling companies to efficiently manage and automate the preparation of personalized medication packs, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and convenience for both staff and customers.

Standard Dose Dispensing Process:

1. Create a new Dispense Order.
2. Use the action Produce in a Dispense Order or Create Orders in the Dispense Sheet to create Dispense Production Orders.
3. Use the action Send to Dispense in the created Dispense Production Order.
4. Use the action Post & Create Invoice in the created Dispense Production Order.

Note: Depending on the Invoice Posting configuration in Dispense Setup, the sales invoices created in step four may be automatically posted or need manual posting.

Terminology

Dispense Order	Document used to define the blueprint for a customer’s medication regimen.
Dispense Production Order	Document obtained after processing a dispense order for a given time frame.
