The IRBM e-Invoice schema requires country codes in the ISO 3166 Alpha-3 format (three-letter codes, for example MYS for Malaysia, SGP for Singapore). The MY ClearTax integration adds an ISO Alpha-3 Code field to the standard Country/Region card. When building the e-Invoice payload, the integration reads this field to populate the country code in address elements.
At minimum, the country/region record used on the Company Information page must have an ISO Alpha-3 Code set. Set the code on all other country/region records that appear as customer addresses on transactions, if applicable.
ISO Alpha-3 codes are maintained in the Data Catalog under the Country of Origin data type. See E-Invoice Catalogs.
To set the ISO Alpha-3 Code on a country/region record:
- Click the
icon, enter Countries/Regions, and select the relevant link. - Open the relevant country/region card.
- In the ISO Alpha-3 Code field, select or enter the three-letter ISO 3166 code from the Country of Origin data type in the Data Catalog.
- Repeat for each country/region used on company or customer addresses.
